I'm here to promote Grannywitch's Faerie Cottage. In 1997 my Mom, my Grandmom, and I started GWFC. It started as kind of a fluke. We had been doing dried and silk flower arrangements, and at that time, so was everyone else! My BFF gave my Mom some polymer clay the day care center she worked for (and was closing)had given her. She asked my Mom to show her what she could make out of it, because she had never worked with it before. My Mom asked her what she liked, and she said, "I don't know.. how about a fairy?" A few days later Mom handed her a beautiful hand sculpted, and hand painted fairy. I said, "If you can do this, why are we doing flowers?" Later that week, a huge Faerie ring appeared in the back yard, so we took that as a definite sign. We quickly found out how hard it is to fill a 10x10ft, or 10x 20ft, craft show space with 3 inch fairies! We decided to carry Fairie related T-shirts, and some popular artists Faerie works. Our customers decided for us, that we should carry some Dragons, because little boys just weren't all that skippy about the faeries (yet). If you buy sister a Tee shirt, or a Fairy, brother has to get something so it's even steven. So, now we carry some dragons, and other magical, and fantasy creatures as well. Mom passed away a year ago July 2. I, and Grandmom, my BFF, and the fairies miss her. We decided to still do the fairies. I am learning the sculpting. Until my sculpting skills yield things that don't look like lumps, we have started carrying some mass produced figurines, different kinds of artwork, cards, wings and more. Now my new husband, and step daughters, and I, take the show on the road, as Mom, Grandma, and I, had always done. We have decided to increase our show area to Oregon, for Faerie Worlds. I hope the trek clear across America is worth the drive. Also new, is the website. It's still being added to because toads are more computer savvy than I am. Some of the T-shirts are on there as well as some figurines. It's slow going because I have no idea what I'm doing on the computer most of the time. We also recently purchased a printing business, complete with button machine, pad printer (it prints on everything!), vinyl cutter, and screen printer. If you want some buttons made, let me know! The GWFC site is listed here. We picked the name before the net really exploded and websites were not for the little guy, so typing the name in takes awhile, sorry. Please visit us, and keep coming back, because as I said, I'm adding new stuff all the time, it just takes me a while
